Simple Cash app good for
I will be using this quite a bit. This is one of the most useful apps I have.
This application is great. I am able to track and budget 12 accounts. I love that the customizations are unlimited - With a little time spent setting up this application does exactly what I need it to do. Ive been using it for more than six months now and have not shopped for another (this was my sixth finance app). I would like to be able to split transactions between multiple categories and also have a space for check numbers. It would be nice if familiar payee names could be auto populated as well as automatic account recognition (ie. home page select account to add new transaction automatically delegates that selected account.) Google export works great. I really enjoy using this app and love having all my accounts tracked in one place. Great application!
I have used this app for everything but now I cant... Can you please update this so that this app can work on my iPhone 6? Best cash managing app ever!
Some bad moments
I have NOT been able to import/export at all. The categories tab does not show categories, but transactions (so does the transactions tab). The loans tab is strictly simple interest (something that is faster on a regular calculator). Has no graphs or charts. In all, the free programs offer more and I was an idiot to spend $5 on this!
I thought this application would be the solution to my checkbook reconciliation problems. You see, Ive been looking for a program that not only allow multiple accounts and transactions, but allows you to clear the transactions at the end of the month AND purge them from your application. After all, once theyve cleared, there is no reason to continue saving them in the account ledger or register, if you will. I thought this application might do the trick. But in adding my transactions into one of the accounts, I noticed that once you reach 16 transactions, you cannot enter any additional ones into that account. If you try, it causes the app to crash and takes you back to the main screen. That defeats the purpose and I feel Ive wasted $4.99. The developer should either fix the problem or refund the money.
Ive been using Ledger, a stable app using double entry accounting. However, I came back to Simple Cash for another go because of its import/export ability to Google, potentially allowing me to cut out some steps in my money management process.
I purchased the two apps (along with 4-6 others) at around the same time and Ledger won out as Simple Cashs instability was the only stable thing about it - regardless of reboots, re-installation and removal of other (possibly) suspect applications. I counted my 5$ as lost with hopes of it being an investment in future versions...
Well, here we are a few months down the road and while the app no longer crashes on regular use, I must concur with the user who experiences the import crashes and transaction limitations. No matter how large or small the list of transactions I attempt to import or export, the app will never complete the job and will crash if its an import.
On exports, it just lies and tells me the export is good to find that a fraction of the transactions made it to Google. Its frustrating.
Since I am still aglow from the holiday season and hope springs eternal, I give it two stars and promise to update this review and post more stars should future versions prove to deserve it.
Meanwhile, I will stick with Ledger.

Ive been using this app for almost six months and I loved it, I could launch it and at a glance see how much I have in each of my accounts, but now with the new homescreen I have to look at some pointless graph, and small numbers that are a total of ALL of my accounts! The new entry mode for a transaction was a good move, butthe new homescreen is horrible and theres no way in the stock settings app or in simplecash app itself to change it back to the homescreen!!!!! Terrible!!!!
This used to be my most used app until they didnt make any updates for the iPhone 6. Please fix this!!!!!
